Animal Pedigree - send via PDF

How do I display an animal's Pedigree Tree and send it via email?

Step 1:

• From the Current Animals (or Archived Animals) screen, select the animals that you wish to look at, via:
  • Clicking Select All to select all animals currently displayed (use Desect All, if you want to start from scratch), OR
  • You may select animals in a contiguous group by clicking on the first animal in the group, holding down the Shift key and then clicking on the last animal in the group, OR
  • You may select, or deselect, animals at random by holding down the Ctrl key and clicking on the animal, OR
  • If you only want to select one animal, then just click on that animal.

Step 2:

• Click on the Pedigree blue tab in the bottom left-hand corner.

Step 3:

• To view the details of each animal consecutively, click on the Next button.
• Details displayed for each animal pedigree are:
  • Animal (Primary) idenifitication. (eg. ear tag)
  • Animal Name.
  • Animal Breed. (breed codes only)

How to send the pedigree as a PDF:

Setp 1:

• Click on the Print (4) or Print (5) button. (different layouts)
• Details printed for each animal in the pedigree are:
  • Animals (Prinmary) Identification.
  • Animal Name.
  • Animal Breed (breed codes only).
  • Notes attached to the main animal (as an option)
  • EBV's (herd, group or interim) for the main animal (as an option)
  • Birth, weaning and sale weights for the main animal.

Step 2:

• Click on the paper icon dropdown menu.
• Click on Export PDF.

Step 3:

• Save the file to an area where you can easily locate it again.
• You can now attach it within the email you wish to send.
