Incorrect dates in the BAS, Debtors & Creditors

Why am I seeing strange dates in the BAS, Debtors and Creditors windows?

This is most likely due to incorrect date settings on your computer.

From the Start menu, click on Control Panel > Region and Language (or equivalent dependent on your computer's operating system)
Make sure the  Format is 'English (Australia)' (NOT 'US').
Make sure the Short date format is 'dd/MM/yyyy'.
Click OK.
