Data Hosting - Edit a Hosted Company

How do I edit a Hosted Company?

• Click on the Setup > Data Hosting menu option.
• Click on the Hosted Companies tab.
• Click on the company you wish to edit, so it is highlighed blue.
• Click on the Edit button. 

In the Edit Company window, the owner of a Hosted Company can:

1. Delete an accounting year from the Hosted Years list.
2. Select/Sync accounting years to/from the Hosted Years list.
3. Delete a person with access to this company.

(1) Deleting an accounting year from the Hosted Years list.

• Click on the accounting year you wish to delete in the Hosted Years box. 
• Click on the Delete button.

• Click Yes to the following Confirm message:

Note: This will delete the accounting year from the list of Hosted Years but it will not delete this accounting year in Cashbook.

(2) Don't sync years on/before option.

• Click on the Don't sync years on/before drop-down arrow and choose an accounting year.

• Picking a year from this list will stop Data Hosting from sending and receiving updates for any year on or prior to the specified year. This only effects this computer and will not impact any other people this company may be shared with. 
• For example, choosing 2016 means that you are only making the Current Year available to another hosted user. (see below)
• Click on the OK button to save changes.

(3) Delete access to one of your hosted companies for a user.

• In the People with access to this company section:
  • Click on the Email Address of the user you wish to revoke access, so it is highlighted blue.
  • Click on the Delete button.

• Click Yes to the Confirm message: 'Are you sure you want to delete access to this company for "user@practicalsystems.com.au"?'
• Email address has been removed from the People with access to this company list.
• Click OK to save.

Note: When the user next opens this company, they will receive an Information message informing them that this company for them, is no longer a hosted company. They will still be able to open the company in Cashbook but this will stop Data Hosting from sending and receiving updates to and from this user.
