Altering a transaction that has already been reconciled

How do I alter a transaction that has already been reconciled?

Note: This should not be done if the transaction in question fall in a BAS period that has been completed and lodged with the Australian Taxation Office. In this case you may need to reverse that transaction.

You will need to delete all bank reconciliations back to the one dated before the date of the transaction you wish to change.

Step 1

• Click on the Transactions>Previous Reconciliations menu option.

Step 2

• Highlight the reconciliation you wish to delete by clicking on it, then click on the Delete button. Note that if you need to delete more than one reconciliation, you will need to start from the most recent one and work backwards.

Step 3

• Make the required alterations to the transaction.

Step 4

• Re-do any deleted reconciliations.
