Closing with Task Manager

I cannot close Cashbook. It keeps coming up with an error or is showing as "not responding".

Some program errors may cause the program to become unresponsive or prevent you from closing it.

This post describes how to force-close Cashbook (or any other Practical Systems programs) through your Windows Task Manager.

Step 1: On your keyboard, either

• press Ctrl, Alt and Delete at the same time  and go to step 3, Or
• right-click on the Task Bar (the bar running across the bottom of the screen).

Step 2: Left-click on Task Manager or Start Task Manager (whichever option appears).

Step 3:

• Click on the program you wish to close - it will be highlighted blue when you have selected it.
• Click on the End Task button.

Step 4:

• The program you have selected will close down and will disappear from the list.

• Click on the Red X in the top right hand corner to close the Window Task Manager window.
