How do I upgrade Cashbook Platinum to the latest version?
BEFORE YOU DO AN UPGRADE IT IS EXTREMELY ADVISABLE TO DO A BACKUP OF ALL YOUR DATA FIRST.
Click on the Setup/Settings/General menu option.
Tick Check for updates on startup.
This will ensure that everytime you open your Cashbook Platinum, you will receive a prompt if upgrades are available.
If you have not previously ticked this box, and you do not want Cashbook to check for updates each time it is started, you can:
Click on the Help/Check for updates menu option.
If there is a new upgrade available, click on the Download Update button.
Once the download has completed, you will receive the following message:
If you wish to install the update, please close down Cashbook at this point (before clicking on the OK button).
When you close down your Cashboook, you will receive the following message:
If you have not made a backup of your data, do so now.
Once Cashbook has been closed, click on the OK button to confirm that you want to install the latest version. You will go to the following screen:
Click Next and follow the prompts
Please ensure that you select the same location as where your Cashbook Platinum is already installed. If in doubt, right-click on the desktop icon you use to start Cashbook, click on the Properties option and check the location in the Target box.
