Export to Sheep Genetics

How do I export data to Sheep Genetics? 

Step 1

• Click on the File > Export Options > Pedigree and Performance Data menu option.
• If this option does not show up, ensure yo uhave selected the sheep society. You can select/change societies by clicking F7 key

Step 2

• Select and enter the appropriate details for your flock 
• Click on the OK button

Step 3

• Click on the Yes button to confirm export.
• Click on the No button to go back (to Step 2) and make changes.

NOTE: If there are any errors in your data that need to be fixed,you may receive one or more error reports (similar to the ones below).

Step 4

• Select which option you require.
• Click on the OK button
• (Repeat Step 4 if similar errors occur)

Step 5

• Once the export file is created you will be prompted with the message below
• Click on the Yes button

Step 6

• If you receive the following warning: 
• Click on the OK button

• The following report will be generated
• Click on the Error to expand the selection to identify the animals with errors.
• You can keep a copy of the report by clicking on either the Print or Save button
• Click on the Close button

Step 7

• You will receive the following message:
• Note the location where the file is saved - you will need this when sending this file to SG.
• Click on the OK button

Step 8

• You should be now be shown a report of what you are exporting in a Print Preview form
• You should check this report
• You can choose to either Print, Save or Close the report by clicking on the selection.

Step 9

• You can now send the file to Sheep Genetics
• Attach the file you saved from the location in Step 7 to an email to Sheep Genetics
