How to set a default backup location

I would like to set a default backup location so all my backups are located together.

This will set up a default backup location for a single database only. You will have to set a separate default location for each database if you have multiple databases.

NOTE: We do not reccommend that your only backup is on the same computer as the program. Please ensure you have a safe and secure external backup.

When using our Data Warehouse facility, it is fine for the default location to be on the same computer as Stockbook, as you are merely creating a copy of the backup that is being sent to Data Warehouse.

If you are not using our Data Warehouse facility you should ensure that the backup is on an external device such as a USB drive, or an external hard drive.

Step 1

Go to Setup > Backup Preferences.

Step 2

Click on the folder icon and search your files for the desired backup location. 

Step 3

Click Close to save your changes.
