Error - Missing Herd Letters

Why am I getting an error message when entering in new cattle "You do not have a member with herd letters ... " ?

Detailed Description

This error will occur because you have stated that you are using Stockbook as a Breed Society in the Setp user options. If you are not using Stockbook to run a breed society, this needs to be changed to a Normal User (even if run a stud operation), as follows. If you are using Stockbook to run a breed society, the error indicates that you do not have a member whose herd letters match the first part of an animal identifiaction that you have entered.

Step 1

  • Click on the Setup > User Options menu option

 

Step 2

  • Click on the General tab
  • Select Normal User
  • Click on the OK button
